Tips for Clearing B1 level in German Language

This will be the Certificate that you would get after completing B1 level :)

Introduction

In this Blog, i will give tips for clearing B1 level in German language. I will also give some Online preparatory guides for this exam. Actually it's quite easy to clear this exam if you are fluent in Deutsch( German ) language and your grammar is strong. 

Okay! let's start with the examination pattern of B1 level. The total marks awarded for this exam is 300. The main parts of the Exam are LESEVERSTEHEN, SPRACHBAUSTENE, HÖRVERSTEHEN, SCHRIFTLICHER AUSDRUCK and finally MÜNDLICHE PRÜFUNG. Scoring 180/300 is enough for clearing this exam.

LESEVERSTEHEN ( TIME - 70 minutes, MARKS - 75 )

 I started with leseverstehen because it is the most important part of this exam. You can score easily higher marks in this part than any other. It basically contains 3 teils(parts). 

TEIL 1 - 25 marks, TEIL 2 - 25 marks, TEIL 3 - 25 marks.

TEIL 1 will be similar to the image which is shown on the left. This part carries 25 marks. There will be five paragraph about various things(mostly about deutschen life style) and 10 headings will be given. You have to choose a correct Heading for each paragraph. Mostly there will be minimum of 2 headings which are related to particular paragraph. But you have to choose only one which is most appropriate. It is quite tricky but if u spend some time on it then you can easily answer it. You can spend 20 mins for this teil.

Tips:

 There will be at least 2 headings which corresponds to particular paragraph. So read the paragraph once and mark it accordingly. Then analyse the paragraph once again by comparing only  those headings which you marked for this paragraph. This method works for SURE :)

TEIL 2 is also known as Detailed Verstehen. This part is quite difficult when compared with other teils. You will be required to spend more time on this part. A detailed paragraph will be given along with 5 multiple choice questions. Each question carries 5 marks. 

Tips:

 Spend more time on this teil 2. You would not be required to know each and every word in that paragraph so don't worry if you find some hard words. 

TEIL 3 also carries 25 marks. This teil is actually quite easy and you can easily score full marks on this teil. Each correct answer would fetch you 2.5 marks and there will be totally 10 questions.

There will be 10 situations given and you will be required to choose a correct advertisement corresponding to the given situation. 

Advertisement for which u have to choose the correct situation

Tips: 

 Follow the same tips which was given for teil 1 by marking and analysing it twice. Here there will be a situation which do not correspond to any advertisement. You have to mark 0 (keine losung) for those situations which do not have any answers. There will be at least one situation which do not have corresponding advertisement. WATCH OUT for those !!!
